Twitter sets daily tweet, DMs and follow limits: how many tweets can you post in a day?

Additional restrictions listed on the Help Page website include a daily limit of 500 direct messages and a daily follow limit of 400 accounts.

According to the company, Twitter will notify you if you hit a limit by sending you an error message specifying which limit you’ve reached. You’ll be able to try again after the time limit has passed for time-based limits (such as the Direct Messages, Tweets, changes to account email, and API request limits).

Meanwhile, after launching the Twitter Blue services for Indian consumers, the platform has announced that its Twitter Blue subscribers in the US can now create longer tweets. The microblogging platform said it is increasing the tweet’s character limit to 4,000 for Twitter Blue subscribers in the US. The only other time Twitter doubled its initial 140-character limit to 280 characters was in 2017. However, it must be noted that those not subscribed to Twitter Blue can only compose a tweet with 280 characters.

On the timeline, tweets will be limited to 280 characters, and users will see a “Show more” prompt to click and read the complete Tweet. Even though only Twitter Blue subscribers have the ability to submit longer Tweets, anybody can read them and react to, retweet, and quote them. This is true whether or not you have a Twitter Blue subscription. The only people who may react and QT with up to 4,000 characters are Twitter Blue subscribers.

After a long wait, the Twitter Blue service is finally available in India. It costs Rs 650 for those using the Twitter website and Rs 900 for those using Android or iOS. New features available with the Twitter Blue membership include the Twitter Blue tick, the ability to edit tweets, post lengthier video clips, personalised app icons, organised bookmarks, and the choice to utilise NFT as a profile picture.

Customers that subscribe to the website plan for a full year receive a discount from Twitter. Customers who choose the monthly plan will end up paying Rs 7,800 annually, while those who go for the annual plan will save Rs 1,000 and Rs 6,800.
