Twitter testing this new feature for iPhone users – Times of India
Twitter has announced that it has started testing a new feature for iPhone users. The “Quote Tweet with reaction” feature allows users to retweet a post and add their own video reaction with it by using the camera. The new feature was revealed by the company through a Twitter post. “Tweet reaction videos can now start on Twitter! Testing on iOS: when you tap the Retweet icon, choose “Quote Tweet with reaction” to create and customize your very own Tweet Take –– a reaction video (or photo) with the Tweet embedded.” the Tweet read.
As the feature is still in the testing phase, it is only available to a few iOS users right now but it is expected that the feature will be available to more users in the coming weeks. Twitter has also shared screenshots demonstrating how the feature will work. Once the new feature is enabled, you will be able to see a new Quote Tweet with reaction button when you press on the retweet icon. The new button will open the camera by which you can record a reaction video that you want to share with the post. The length of the video that a user can while quoting a Tweet is unknown yet but various reports suggest that it is the same as the regular videos on the platform.
Last month, the micro-blogging platform also rolled out automatic captions for videos available globally. The feature is available to all users but it is only limited to new videos. This means that the videos that were shared on the platform before the feature was released will not have automatic captions. The company recently also announced that the option to record a Space is now available for some hosts on iOS and Android but the option to listen to a recording of a Space is available for all users.
