Twitter to allow these Android users to drop the Spaces button – Times of India

Twitter introduced its paid service Twitter Blue last year. The social networking website is now allowing the Twitter Blue subscribers on Android to customise the navigation bar of the app. Earlier available to iOS users, the feature will enable them to get rid of the Spaces icon which is placed in the middle of the navigation bar. Along with this, users are also allowed to remove some other tabs as well.
The customisable navigation bar will allow the users to reduce the number of displayed tabs. The number of tabs can now be decreased to two. Apart from this, users can also keep all the five tabs by default.
Twitter introduced the Spaces tab in the navigation bar for the iOS users last year and it was rolled out for the Android users in May this year. It appears that the availability of customisable navigation bar is encouraging users to go for the paid service which starts at $2.99 per month.
Apart from this, the Twitter Blue users can also customise the app as per their taste. Users are allowed to to use various colour themes and other custom app icons. They can select from different colour themes like Red, Yellow, Purple and more. Along with the theme, users can also change the app icon to Green, Pink, Purple, Orange and more colour options.
The Twitter Blue users are also allowed to quickly undo tweets and create a different collection of their favourite tweets. Users also get a Read Mode which will arrange the long threads into readable format.
