Far Cry 6 free-for-all offer availability
The free-to-play offer for Far Cry 6 will start on August 4 and will last till August 7. The game will be free to download and play across Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms. The report suggests that this offer differs from other “free weekends for games” as the entire game will be available during the promotion. This means that players can find a way to play through the entirety of Far Cry 6 throughout this promotion.
Other Far Cry 6 promotional offerings
As per the report, Ubisoft is not only offering the base game for free but it will also unlock the post-launch content related to Far Cry 6 as well. Players will be able to access the Stranger Things, Rambo, and Danny Trejo add-ons which were rolled out recently.
Moreover, if players decide to purchase the game while playing the free version, Far Cry 6 will be available at a discount of 60% through this promotional period. Apart from that, players will also receive a $5 voucher that they can use for their next purchase in the Ubisoft store.
For the uninitiated, Ubisoft has uploaded the official description of the title that gamers can read to know if they want to play the game. It reads:
“Welcome to Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time. As the dictator of Yara, Antón Castillo is intent on restoring his nation to its former glory by any means, with his son, Diego, following in his bloody footsteps. Their oppressive rule has ignited a revolution.”
Players have to play the game as Dani Rojas, a local Yaran and have to fight alongside a modern-day guerrilla revolution to liberate Yara. Players have to fight against the Castillo regime (in the most expansive Far Cry to date) through jungles, beaches and Esperanza (the capital city of Yara).
