Upcoming OnePlus foldable phones display specs tipped; will be different from OPPO Find N2, N2 Flip
OnePlus foldable phones: what we expect so far
According to the report, one key area of difference will be in the display resolution field, where the OnePlus foldable phones are expected to offer a richer resolution display, offering 2K screen resolution at least on the main folding panel. This has suggested that the OnePlus foldable phones could even be bigger than what the latest foldable from OPPO, the Find N2 Flip, has offered — or at least differ in screen resolution.
So far, this is pretty much the only rumour that we’ve heard in terms of what we can expect from these devices. A previous report had highlighted that OnePlus has trademarked the terms ‘Fold’ and ‘Flip’ for potential devices that it would launch, suggesting that just like the OPPO Find N2 and N2 Flip, OnePlus could also launch similar devices — which were rumoured to be named OnePlus V Fold and V Flip, respectively.
Similarities between OnePlus and OPPO devices would not be a surprise, since both the BBK brands now share plenty of resources between each other. The OPPO Find N2 presently features a 7.1-inch primary folding AMOLED display, a 5.54-inch external display, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC, up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, a triple rear camera with 50MP primary, 32MP 2x telephoto and 48MP ultrawide units, Hasselblad colour grading, two additional 32MP selfie cameras on the folding display and on the outer cover, Dolby stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, and a 4,520mAh battery with 67W fast charging. Meanwhile, OPPO just launched its first foldable in the global market, the Find N2 Flip, with a compact display.
It now remains to be seen how the OnePlus foldable phones differ from it.
