vanguard: Call of Duty Vanguard Multiplayer is free to play for two weeks: All you need to know – Times of India

Activision Blizzard has made the multiplayer mode of Call of Duty Vanguard free to play for two weeks, from March 30 to April 13, 2022. The free-to-play content includes “the new Season Two maps, a new objective mode and a featured Playlist offering a variety of the most popular maps in the game”, announced the American video game developer and publisher in a blog post. This is the first time Activision is giving two-week-long free access to the Vanguard multiplayer. Here is a brief look at the game content players can access during the two weeks.
New Season Two maps: Casablanca and Gondola
During these two weeks, players can access the new maps launched in Season Two of Vanguard: Casablanca and Gondola.
Both Casablanca and Gondola are medium-sized, three-lane-style maps. The Casablanca map consists of several buildings that can be climbed upon and players can “expect a variety of vertical engagements that invite both close- and long-range tactics.”. On the other hand, Gondola gives players the advantage of the long sightline, thanks to the gondola route in the map. Conversely, they can also try the routes through the power plant and caves but these also come with the challenges of close quarters combat.
New objective mode featuring the Alps
Players can also check out a new large-map objective mode in Vanguard. The setting is the Alps and the main objective the players have is to capture all the bases in order to gain victory. Once they capture a base, they can choose to respawn at that base of some other captured point in the map. Each friendly base will be protected with a gate and can shut itself when enemies are nearby. The friendly bases will also have several Buy Stations located within to help the defenders equip themselves with additional weapons and skills.
Vanguard maps: Shipment, Das Haus and more
The two-week-long free access also lets players jump into Vanguard’s “most popular maps”, such as Shipment and Das Haus. Other maps like Hotel Royale, Dome and Radar will also be made accessible during the free access period.
