Virgin Media customers get 15 extra channels for free to celebrate Diwali

Virgin Media is dishing out 15 premium channels for free to help millions of its customers celebrate this year’s annual Diwali Festival of Lights which began on November 2. Diwali always takes place over five days with each day seeing different traditions, including renovating homes, music, feasts with family, and fireworks – this year’s main day of celebrations gets underway tomorrow, November 4.

Virgin Media says it will offer access to a number of services, such as Colors Gujarati, Zee TV and SONY MAX2 from now until November 14 to celebrate the festivities, which also known as Dipawali or Deepavali. Despite these channels usually coming at a premium for telly subscribers with Virgin Media TV, the company is not charging a penny extra for all customers between today and November 14, 2021.

These channels are only usually available as part of Virgin’s Asian Mela TV bundle, which costs £12 per month.

These channels include the latest Bollywood movies and dramas alongside comedy classics, culture, fashion and travel. There’s even the chance to watch Bigg Boss – the Indian version of Big Brother, hosted by Salman Khan – free of charge.
