Virgin Media gives millions of customers extra TV channels for free

Right in time for the half-term holidays, Virgin Media has announced a major boost for millions of users. From today, the telecoms giant is switching on a swathe of extra kids channels and it won’t cost a penny extra to tune in and watch.

The content-boosting offer lasts until October 31 and includes premium services such as Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Boomerang.

Virgin says that its free kids TV offering caters for all ages with popular shows including Star Trek Prodigy, Scooby Doo, Teen Titans and many more all featuring on the service.

This bonus content for the younger members of the family usually costs £5 per month but that fee has been scrapped for the next two weeks.

Speaking about the incentive, David Bouchier, Chief TV & Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, said: “We know that parents are looking for great value this half term, especially during this difficult time, that’s why we’re helping families by keeping the junior members of the household entertained with access to seven kids and teen TV channels at no extra cost.”
