Vivo V23 Pro review: For selfie lovers
When you take out the Vivo V23 Pro from the box, you are immediately pleased with its lightweight body and stylish rear. The smartphone is offered in two colour options -– Stardust Black and Sunshine Gold. We received the latter as our review unit which is a remarkably distinct and pretty colour. The rear is soft to touch. Vivo says that the device matte’s texture makes it comfortable to hold. But we found that the phone is a bit slippery and one needs to be cautious when holding it. The phone is fingerprint-free and does not get dirty with dust or oil.
Now coming to the USP of the phone- its fancy colour changing back. When we took the device under sunlight, the phone’s gold rear colour changed into shades of green and blue. Interestingly, the colour of the camera module does not change, which looks weird. One must note that the phone takes about a minute to change and only the Sunshine Gold colour variant supports this feature. The Stardust Black colour model does not offer this fancy feature.
The phone comes with three camera sensors housed in a rectangular camera module. The camera bump is big and bold and has a 108MP triple-cam written on it. At the right edge of the phone is the power button with the volume control button placed above it. The left panel of the phone is clean.
The SIM card module is placed at the bottom alongside the USB Type-C charging port, a microphone and the speaker grill. There is a golden contrast frame running on the top edge with the words ‘PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY’ embossed. Another microphone piece is also placed there.
Vivo V23 Pro does feel durable and sturdy. There is a protective film on the top to protect the device from scratches and similar risks. However, there is no IP rating.
