Vivo V27 and Vivo V27 Pro launched with MediaTek Dimensity chipset, new 50MP camera with Aura light: Price, features and more – Times of India

Vivo has expanded its mid-range smartphone lineup with the launch of two new smartphones under V27 series. The smartphone lineup includes Vivo V27 and Vivo V27 Pro. Both the handsets come with a 3D curved display, MediaTek Dimensity chipset and colour-changing back panels. Apart from that, the smartphones also pack 50MP rear camera setup with a new Aura light flash.
Vivo V27 series: Price and availability
Vivo has priced the V27 series starting at Rs 32,999. The base variant of Vivo V27 featuring 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 32,999, while the higher-end model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 36,999.
Vivo V27 Pro, on the other hand, starts at Rs 37,999 for the base 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs 39,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The top-of-the-line 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs 42,999.

The smartphone will be available for pre-booking starting today March 01, 2023, across Flipkart, Vivo India e-store and all partner retail stores. Consumers pre-booking the device using online channels can avail of a flat discount of Rs 3,000 (applicable on HDFC Bank, ICICI, and Kotak Mahindra Bank), while consumers pre-booking the device offline can avail up to INR 3,500 cashback with ICICI, Kotak, and HDB Financial Services.
As part of the bundle offer, consumers purchasing V27 series can avail a discount of Rs 1,000 on the TWS Air earbuds.
Vivo V27 series: Specifications
Vivo V27 and Vivo V27 Pro smartphones come with the same 6.78-inch 3D Curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits of peak brightness and 1.07-billion colours. The smartphones have a maximum thickness of 7.36mm and weigh just 182 grams.
In addition, the V27 series comes with Color Changing Fluorite AG Glass technology with improved sensitivity on the back in the Magic Blue variant of the smartphones that changes colour from a delicate light blue to a more pronounced dark blue when exposed to UV light.
In terms of camera, both Vivo V27 and Vivo V27 Pro come with the same 50MP Sony IMX766V custom primary rear camera with built-in Optical Image Stabilisation along with an 8MP wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor.
The smartphones come with the new Night Portrait with Aura Light feature that makes use of the flagship Sony IMX766V sensor, Aura Light tech and Vivo’s flagship suite of night algorithms that claims to deliver natural, high-quality studio-like Night Portraits.
Along with this, the smartphones are, according to the company, India’s first and exclusive devices to come with wedding-style portrait features.
On the front, V27 Pro and V27 sport 50MP advanced eye autofocus cameras.
V27 series comes with a range of camera modes and features such as Real-Time Extreme Night Vision, Super Night Mode, Super Night Video and others along with Micro movie mode that comes with added video templates and a step-by-step guide to help users.

In terms of performance, V27 Pro is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM. The Vivo V27, on the other hand, is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM as well.
Both smartphones feature the Game Boost Mode and an audio enhancement feature.
Additionally, the smartphones are equipped with Extended RAM 3.0 technology that increases virtual RAM by up to 8 GB.
Both Vivo V27 and V27 Pro smartphones are backed by a 4600mAh battery with 66W FlashCharge support. And, they run Android 13-based FunTouch OS 13 operating system out of the box.
