vivo x70: Vivo may launch the X70 smartphone in September and tablet next year, claims report – Times of India
Chinese smartphone maker Vivo may launch its X70 smartphone in September and is working on an in-house ISP chip that will come integrated with the smartphone, as per a report by MyFixGuide. The report is based upon a press conference held by Hu Baishan, president, Vivo China.
He reportedly said that there was going to be a Vivo V1 ISP inside the X70 smartphone. He also revealed that a Vivo tablet is in the works and will come out in the first half of 2022. The company is also planning to implement the 1+3+N strategy which is about one smartphone in the centre of the web, controlling three peripheral devices like smartwatches, tablets, headphones, etc., which are connected to other smart devices further. In this strategy, which Huawei has also employed, “1” refers to the primary phone addressing the core need of the customers without which the peripheral devices wouldn’t be of much use to them, and as such, is the most important link of the web.
As per the report, the company’s focus would be to keep its customers in the closed-loop, i.e. within its ecosystem, so that the customers could have an overall better experience with its products. The strategy is very much like Apple’s, with its services distributed across its products.
Vivo may be working on a tablet, but it has no intentions of launching a TV like its rivals. The Vivo China president added that a smartphone and a TV have “a certain degree of correlation which is very weak” which is why the company will not enter the TV market for a long time.
