Vivo has silently unveiled the Vivo Y21A smartphone on their website. The new smartphone will join the recently launched Vivo Y21e in the Vivo Y21 series. Although the smartphones look similar, they are powered by different chipsets. The Vivo Y21A is a successor to the Vivo Y20A that was launched in the country in December 2020. Although the website does not reveal the price of the new smartphone, it does confirm that the device will be available in two colour options – Diamond Glow and Midnight Blue. The website also reveals that the device will be available in single RAM and storage configuration.

Vivo Y21A specifications

The Vivo Y21A features a 6.51-inch HD+ display with 720×1,600 pixels resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. The RAM on the smartphone can be expanded by 1GB. The device gets 64GB of inbuilt storage. The storage of the smartphone can be expanded through a microSD card. The dual-SIM device runs on Funtouch OS 11.1 based on Android 11 operating system out of the box.

When it comes to camera, the Vivo Y21 sports a dual camera setup at the rear consisting of a 13MP primary sensor with an f/2.2 aperture lens, and a 2MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture lens. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone is equipped with a 8MP front sensor with an f/2.0 aperture lens.

In terms of battery, Vivo Y21A is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging over USB Type-C port. Most of the specs of the smartphone are similar to the Vivo Y21e. Although the company has not announced the launch date of the device, it is expected that we be able to see the prices of the smartphone soon.
