NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Vivo has launched its first 5G-enabled smartphone under Y series in India. The company has launched the Vivo Y72 5G smartphone in India.
Vivo Y72 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor and runs Android 11 operating system. The mid-range smartphone offers a 90Hz display and is backed by a 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
Vivo Y72 5G: Price and availability
The company has priced the Vivo Y72 5G smartphone at Rs 20,990. The smartphone comes in Prism Magic and Slate Gray colour options. The handset is up for purchase online and offline channels starting today (July 15). The customers can also avail no cost EMI option and one-time screen replacement facility on the smartphone.
This mid-range 5G smartphone from Vivo will compete against the recently launched Realme 8 Pro smartphone. Realme 8 Pro is priced at Rs 17,999 and it is also a 5G-enabled smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 4,500 mAh battery with 50W fast charging support.
Vivo Y72 5G: Specifications
Vivo Y72 5G features a 6.58-inch FHD+ display with 1080×2408 pixel resolution. The display comes with 90Hz refresh rate and promises high colour saturation.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor paired with 8GB of RAM. Along with this, the smartphone also offers 4GB of virtual RAM for better user experience.
Vivo Y72 5G packs 128GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 1TB by adding a microSD card. The smartphone comes with dual SIM support and runs Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of FunTouchOS 11.
Vivo Y72 5G sports a dual rear camera with 48MP main camera with f/1.79 aperture and 2MP deth camera with f/2.4 aperture.
The front is home to an 8MP selfie shooter.
Vivo Y72 5G comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
