Vodafone Idea users, here’s why you need not worry – Times of India

Vodafone Idea users need not worry before recharging their prepaid number. The telecom operator has refuted the reports of its prepaid services not being available for a few hours.
In an official statement, Vi said, “We would like to alert our customers to not believe such false news.”
“We have come across certain incorrect media reports claiming that Vi prepaid recharge services will be unavailable for a few hours. We would like to alert our customers to not believe such false news. Vi has only intimated to some prepaid users in Delhi circle via SMS about a system upgrade for a few hours from the night of 22nd January ‘23 to the morning of 23rd January ‘23, during which period there may be some delay in recharge service. Vi customers across the country can continue to access uninterrupted services,” added the telco.
Vodafone Idea is reportedly struggling to retain its customers as the users are moving towards Reliance Jio and Airtel after the launch of 5G services.
Vodafone Idea expanding its retail footprint
Vodafone Idea is ramping up its retail footprint at the sub-district level. The service provider is launching 75 new format ‘Vi Shops’ across multiple towns in Bihar and Jharkhand.
The Vodafone-Idea Shops concept for Tier-3 towns is intended to deliver a uniform Vi experience to local customers, enabling quick support and handholding. The modern design of the new format store is in line with signature elements that define existing Vi Stores in urban locations. Vi Shops will offer the entire bouquet of Vi prepaid products and services and enable the less tech-savvy users to avail Vi’s service across the table, leading to improved customer experience and closer engagement.
With this initiative Vi aims to deepen engagement with rural consumers with the wide bouquet of Telco++ offerings, curated as a result of partnerships with domain experts in areas such as jobs and skilling, government exam preparation, and English language skills amongst others.
