Chinese technology company Huawei has revealed the launch date of its upcoming smartwatch –the Watch GT 3 Pro. The company teased the launch date in a promo video and it’s April 28. Huawei will launch the GT 3 Pro watch in its native market. We might even see the launch of the Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro Porsche Edition at the event.
The company also revealed a new poster which confirms that the smartwatch will be an IP68-rated one and would have EN13319 waterproof standard meant for diving accessories, which means that some thought has gone in for deep diving when designing the new smartwatch. The GT 3 Pro smartwatch could withstand a depth of 30 metres.
As for the other specs, the watch is expected to give a battery backup of 14 days. The watch variants may have different builds too . The 42mm variant is speculated to have a ceramic build while the 46mm one may have a titanium alloy case.
Huawei is also going to launch its upcoming foldable device – the Mate Xs 2– on April 28 itself. The launch event will take place in the company’s native market China and is scheduled to start at 7 pm local time. Huawei may also launch the Band 7 at the same event though it is just a matter of speculation for now.
Although the company has not given out any details about the smartphone, a report by MyFixGuide claims that the Mate Xs 2 could be the new Huawei 4G phone (model number “PAL-AL00”) that’s recently been listed on the MIIT Chinese certification site. It will reportedly be powered with the Kirin 9000 4G SoC and runs HarmonyOS. The report also adds that this smartphone will have an outwards folding display which will come with a single punch hole and the top right.
