Watch out coders, OpenAI’s ChatGPT is coming for your jobs | Digit

Open AI is a renowned research firm that specialises in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and creating tools using the same. Recently, it released an AI-powered chatbot known as ChatGPT and allowed public users to test the same. The company said that this chatbot had been trained properly to speak to users in a “conversational way” so that it can be accessible to many people. ChatGPT is claimed to be a tool that can help write code for apps and websites in just a matter of seconds.

Many users tested the chatbot and learned that it can even solve complex coding-related issues in the blink of an eye. These experiences have been shared on Twitter.

How does the ChatGPT work?

In order to interact with the ChatGPT, users must simply head to the OpenAI website and create an account for themselves. As of now, interacting with this chatbot is free, mainly because the company wants as many users to test it as possible to ascertain the full set of capabilities. On asking the chatbot how it works, it replied “ChatGPT works by using a large corpus of conversational data to train a transformer-based model. This model is then used to generate human-like responses to user input, allowing for natural conversations with a virtual assistant.”

It further explains “ChatGPT is a natural language processing (NLP) model developed by OpenAI. It is a transformer-based model that is trained on a large corpus of conversational data. It is designed to generate human-like responses to user input, allowing for natural conversations with a virtual assistant”.

The chatbot uses a specific technology known as Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) along with a different approach built-in for collecting data. This ensures that the responses are similar to how humans speak.

The bot is capable of writing complex code and solving coding-related problems, and this may spell problems for coders who might soon be out of a job.
