What’s new in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.25.13 | Digit

Whatsapp is continuously striving to make the user experience better. The global messaging platform has recently announced the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.25.13, which is going to bring new features to Beta testers, according to a report shared by WABETAinfo.

Behind the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.25.13

The previous beta version,  WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.22.3 update brought a major change for beta users that prevented screenshots from being taken on opening view once messages. This feature soon became available to non-beta users as well. Whatsapp is now working on creating a presentation sheet regarding these changes for beta users after updating the version to WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.25.13.

The screenshot above demonstrates what the presentation sheet looks like and how it appears. After you click the view once click, the sheet opens up in the drawing editor. If the feature has already been enabled on one’s device, then Whatsapp will inform the user that they cannot take any screenshots of the view once messages. This is done to protect the privacy of the sender. It is also not possible for users to save, share, forward or copy such messages.

The presentation sheet has already been made available to a few beta testers. It is still being rolled out to more beta testers.

Other WhatsApp features

Whatsapp is working on a range of new features across its applications. Whatsapp for Desktop will soon be equipped with a calling feature that will let you make calls while logged into the desktop version. Similarly, Whatsapp is also working on a companion mode, which can be used to link up to 4 different devices to the same account.

Whatsapp is also working on contact card sharing, and a new Message Yourself feature that lets you create a chat screen just for yourself.
