WhatsApp is rolling out this feature on Android for beta testing – Times of India
Three large heart emojis on Android
WABetaInfo reports that WhatsApp is rolling out a new update version 2.23.1.3 through the Google Play Beta Program that will bring three new large animated heart emojis in line with all other types/ colours of heart emojis.
The development comes a few days after the same source reported that WhatsApp is working on 21 new emojis.
Since the update is under development, the emojis are not visible within the emoji keyboard. Apart from adding new emojis, the Meta-owned platform has also redesigned 8 emojis that already exist in the emoji keyboard.
“In reality, you may not have noticed them since the changes are not really evident (except for Pleading Face and Face Holding Back Tears) but thanks to the attached screenshot, you can discover which emojis have been redesigned,” added WABetaInfo.
WhatsApp Avatars
Recently, the company CEO Mark Zuckerberg launched Avatars on WhatsApp. Avatars are customisable animated characters, essentially a digital version of you that you can create by choosing the right combination of available hair styles, facial features as well as outfits. Meta’s 3D avatars are similar to Snapchat’s Bitmoji and Apple’s Memoji.
Once you have created your Avatar, WhatsApp will automatically create a new sticker pack. Avatars can either be used as a profile picture on WhatsApp or sent to contacts in the chat list by choosing from the sticker pack.
Meta says it will continue to deliver style enhancements including lighting, shading, hair style textures, and more over time. The update was rolled out for Android and iPhones.
