WhatsApp is all set to launch another new feature for WhatsApp Business users. The feature comes after rolling out the ability to set a cover photo for a business profile, edit sent messages, improve emoji reactions and more. WABetaInfo has reported that the Meta-owned instant messaging platform has started rolling out a new ability that will allow users to rename linked devices to business accounts.
The feature is currently available in beta for both Android and iOS operating systems. Earlier reports claimed that it will be a part of WhatsApp Premium, optional subscription-based service for business users that will offer added functionalities.
However, the feature, as per the current report, will be free as it has already been rolled out to select business users in beta. The feature allows users to link and rename up to 10 devices and also create personal custom business links.
As per the reports, users can rename a device right after linking it to a new feature or later by heading to the WhatsApp Settings → Linked Devices → Device → Name.
In addition to this, there are certain things that the beta rollout reveals about the feature. For starters, the renamed account or name is completely private and other businesses or clients won’t be able to see it.
It is to remind you that the upcoming feature is currently rolling out in beta for business users and is not clear when it will be rolled out to general users.
