WhatsApp may roll out optional subscription plan for these users

WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new optional subscription plan that will offer additional features to business accounts. As per a report by WABetaInfo, the Facebook owned platform is planning to redesign the user interface for the ‘Linked Device’ section for WhatsApp Business accounts. The report further suggests that the app uses a different description for multi-device feature after the revamp. “Add multiple devices to your account so different people in your business can talk to a customer in the same chat” the description reads as per the screenshot shared in the report.
According to the report, the optional subscriptions plan will offer additional features to these users such as the ability to add more than 4 devices in the multi-device feature and more. As per the report, additional services will be announced in the future. It is worth noting that even if WhatsApp rolls out a subscription plan, it will be optional and the app will be free to use.
WhatsApp may soon allow you to share your profile via URL on social media platforms. For those who are unaware, WhatsApp currently offers an option to create a QR code of your profile that you can share on social media platforms. This allows users to reach you easily without your phone number. However, the feature was not quite popular as many users do not know how to scan a QR code. The report suggests that with the new share profile button, you will be able to create a link to your profile that will allow other users to chat with you with a single tap.
According to the screenshot shared in the report, the feature will also likely be limited to WhatsApp Business accounts. The report also reveals that the new button will be available next to your profile picture under the Settings tab.
