whatsapp message reaction: WhatsApp users will soon be able to react to messages using emojis – Times of India

Facebook-owned WhatsApp is working on a couple of new features. Message reaction is one of them. As per a new report by WaBetaInfo, a new reaction info tab has been spotted during the development of WhatsApp beta for iOS. This means that in the future WhatsApp users will not only be able to react to a chat message using an emoji, they will also be able to see who reacted to the message.
The feature is currently under development. Once available, it will function similarly to the message reaction feature on Facebook and Instagram. Users on these platforms can react to a message with emojis like heart and others.
The report says that all reactions to a message will be listed in the first tab called “All”. WhatsApp groups who reacted to a message using a specific emoji will be listed in a separate tab. Users will be able to react to a specific message only once. Also, the reactions are limited to 6 emojis right now.
“The feature has been spotted during the development of WhatsApp beta for iOS, but WhatsApp is also working on bringing the same ability on WhatsApp beta for Android as well,” the report says.
Meanwhile, the instant messaging app has started rolling out a new feature for its web users. The new feature enables WhatsApp Web users to quickly create a sticker from an image within the platform without using any third-party apps.
