WhatsApp introduced the updated UWP-based WhatsApp desktop client on Windows Store last year and with this, the instant messaging platform brought several new improvements and features to WhatsApp for Windows app. Now, the WhatsApp app on Windows is getting another new update soon. Windows Latest has reported that the WhatsApp app is getting a new dedicated Call links feature on the WhatsApp beta update.

WhatsApp has started rolling out a new WhatsApp beta update on Windows which brings support for the Call links feature to the desktop client. With the update, beta users can now create a call link and share it with other users whether they are on WhatsApp or not to join the call.
What is WhatsApp Call link feature?
As mentioned, the Call links feature allows users to create a call link similar to other platforms like Google Meet, Teams, etc and share it with other users. Users can click on the link and join a video or voice call as per their preference. The feature has been available on Android and iOS versions of the app for a while now and it is finally being tested on the Windows version of teh app. Do note that WhatsApp allows users to share the link with anyone they want. However, users who are not on WhatsApp will have to create a new account and then they can join the call.
How to create Call links using WhatsApp on Windows
To create a Call link on Windows, users will be required to enroll in WhatsApp Beta program and install the beta version of WhatsApp on their PC running Windows 10 or Windows 11. After this, they can head to the Calls tab and click on the Create a call link option. Once the link has been created, it can be shared with other WhatsApp users as well as non-WhatsApp users.
