WhatsApp Poll feature now available for Android and iOS users – Times of India

WhatsApp has started rolling out a new feature for its Android and iOS users. The Meta-owned app is now enabling users to create polls. The new feature is only available on smartphones and desktop users will have to wait for it. WhatsApp polls feature is available for both individual and group chats.
WhatsApp users will now be able to create and share polls with other WhatsApp users. Users are allowed to add up to 12 options in a poll. It is to be noted that the interface of polls in one-to-one chat and in a group are the same.WhatsApp will automatically update the poll when it receives a vote and they will be end-to-end encrypted in both group and individual chats. Polls come in handy when you want to quickly get your friends’ take on something.
Here is how to set up WhatsApp Poll
In order to create a WhatsApp Poll users need to first open an individual or group chat. On iOS, the users need to tap on the ‘+’ icon, whereas Android users need to tap on the ‘paperclip’ icon.
After this, a menu will appear on their screen with an option to create a new poll. Now, users just have to tap on Poll. They will then notice a new menu, where the app will ask the users to type their poll questions and add options. After creating the Poll, WhatsApp users just have to tap on send. After this, the participants of the group can start picking up their options.
Users can also view the number of votes received by each option at the bottom.
