The feature is being rolled out with WhatsApp for iOS version 22.22.75. This means users need to update their WhatsApp app to its latest version to be able to generate rich text for status. There’s no information on when the feature will arrive on the Android version of the app.
The App Store listing, according to the report, for WhatsApp has also been updated with a rich link preview feature. This confirms that the feature is now being rolled out widely.
