According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on an in-app banner feature within the app that will allow users to browse their documents. The new banner feature will be available to use in the upcoming update of the app. WhatsApp users will be able to share documents and files up to 2GB in size.
The update is being rolled out through the Google Play Store Beta Program for Android beta testers. The update carries version 2.23.3.13 which allows users to use the document banner feature. Currently, the feature is available for Android beta testers and there is no word whether it will be available for iOS beta testers or not.
However, the feature is available within the chat option that allows users to share files with their contacts. As of now, WhatsApp allows its users to share documents up to 64 MB in size.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp is also working on an update to its Android beta version that will allow users to set longer group subjects and descriptions. This new feature will enable users to communicate more information about the group, such as its purpose, rules, topics of discussion and more. This update is part of WhatsApp’s efforts to improve user experience and make it easier for people to connect with each other on the platform.
WhatsApp users who have installed the latest beta update from the Google Play Store can practice longer group subjects and descriptions. The update is expected to be rolled out in a phased manner and will gradually reach more users in the upcoming days.
