WhatsApp Web Photo Editing Tool: WhatsApp for Web, desktop to soon get stickers, photo editing tools – Times of India

WhatsApp is predominantly a mobile app but it does offer web and desktop support. Most features on the latter two platforms arrive later than the mobile app. Like it is in the case of stickers and photo editing tools. According to a report by WABetainfo, the platform that tracks changes and features on the messaging app, WhatsApp is now rolling out a new version for the web/desktop client, bringing the version up to 2.2130.7.
According to the report, the biggest changes in the version are support for editing pictures in WhatsApp on desktop and web versions. “If the feature is available for your WhatsApp account, before sending the image, WhatsApp will show some new options to edit it, like the possibility to add emojis, stickers, text and more,” notes the report. So along with photo editing, users will have the option to add emojis and stickers as well.
The feature is being rolled out today to desktop and web versions of WhatsApp. However, not all users will be able to see it today as it generally takes time for the full roll out features.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp recently started rolling out the View once feature. Photos and videos sent with the feature turned on disappear from the chat after the receiver has seen it.
WhatsApp View once feature is similar to disappearing messages, except it disappears from the chat as soon as the receiver has seen it.
What it means is that the photo or video sent with the View once option enabled can only be viewed once. It works a lot like Instagram’s Vanish Mode.
