Where to Stream the 2023 Super Bowl (and Puppy Bowl)

In a world supersaturated with streaming services, finding a place to watch a live event on TV is still surprisingly not obvious. That’s especially true for the Super Bowl. Luckily, there are still a few ways to watch the game live for free.

This Sunday, February 12, the Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Whether you’re a huge football fan or you’re more enthusiastic about catching commercials and eating snacks, we’ve detailed everything you need to know below. We’ve also included information on streaming the Puppy Bowl and the Great American Rescue Bowl—two serotonin-inducing animal-centric showdowns where everyone wins.

What Time Do the Events Start?

Super Bowl LVII (6:30 pm Eastern Standard Time): Kickoff for the 2023 Super Bowl is at 6:30 pm EST on Sunday, February 12. Pregame coverage begins at noon EST. It airs live on Fox. Chris Stapleton will sing the national anthem, and Rihanna is the star of the halftime show.

Puppy Bowl XIX (2 pm Eastern): The 19th annual Puppy Bowl begins at 2 pm EST. It airs on Animal Planet. While Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg have hosted the Puppy Bowl in previous years, there’s no confirmation yet about who (if anyone) will be hosting the 2023 event. The Puppy Bowl XIX lineup includes more than 120 adoptable puppy players split across Team Ruff and Team Fluff. All of them compete for the—brace yourself—Lombarky trophy. Also, yes, there is a kitten halftime show (!!).

Great American Rescue Bowl (10:30 am Eastern and again at 4 pm): Hallmark canceled the Kitten Bowl, so it was absent from last year’s Big Sports Games, but a new animal bowl that features cats is debuting on Sunday, February 12, at 10:30 am EST. A rerun will air at 4 pm EST. Hosted by the Great American Family channel (home of ex-Hallmark execs), the Great American Rescue Bowl will feature a spate of adoptable cats and dogs

This year is harder than years past when it comes to streaming the Super Bowl without cable. There are a few workaround services for cord-cutters though, with free trials available for new users (or new accounts). Just remember to cancel any free trials to avoid future charges.
