Why Honor 50, Honor 50 SE and Honor 50 Pro launch in China is important – Times of India

Former Huawei sub-brand Honor has today launched a new smartphone series — Honor 50 — in its home country China. Honor has also said that it will launch the phones with Google‘s Mobile Services for international markets including France, Malaysia, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the UK.
As part of the series, the company has launched Honor 50, Honor 50 SE Honor 50 Pro.
In a statement the company has said, “Honor devices will have the option to have Google Mobile Services (“GMS”) preinstalled on compatible devices, in accordance with Google’s licensing and governance models.”
“Consumers will be able to experience Honor smartphones and tablets equipped with GMS,” said Honor.
There is no word on the India launch of the Honor 50 series as of now.
Honor 50 Pro specifications
The Honor 50 Pro has a 6.72-inch OLED FHD+ display of 2676x1236p resolution. It comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
Backed by a 4000mAh battery, it comes with 100W Super Fast Charger.
For camera duties, it offers 108MP main rear camera with 8MP wide angle camera, 2MP depth of field camera and 2MP macro camera. On the front, it has a 32MP main camera and a 12MP secondary camera.
Honor 50 specifications
The Honor 50 Pro has a 6.57-inch OLED FHD+ display of 2340x1080p resolution. It comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Backed by a 4300mAh battery, it comes with 66W fast charging support.
For camera duties, it has the same rear camera panel as the Honor 50 Pro, however, unlike that handset, offers only a single 32MP sensor on the front.
Honor 50 SE specifications
The Honor 50 SE has a 6.78-inch LCD FHD+ display of 2388x1080p resolution. It comes powered by Dimensity 900 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
It comes backed by a 4000mAh battery and there is no word on the fast charging capabilities of the device
For camera duties, it has a 100MP main rear camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, it houses a 16MP sensor.
