wifi 6 mesh system: Netgear launches ‘Orbi RBK753’ tri-band Wi-Fi 6 mesh system at Rs 49,499 – Times of India

Netgear has launched one of its most powerful Wi-Fi 6 mesh systems – the Orbi RBK753–in India. The company claims that this three-unit (router + 2 satellites) mesh system can give a coverage of up to 7,500 square feet with speeds of up to 4.2Gbps simultaneously on over 40 devices.
The Netgear ‘Orbi RBK753’ tri-band Wi-Fi 6 mesh system is available in India through netgearstore.in, Amazon.in and other leading e-commerce platforms at a discounted price of Rs 49,499.
The RBK753 is a 3-part router-satellite combo with each unit featuring six antennas with high-powered amplifiers, creating Implicit and Explicit Beamforming for 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands and MU-MIMO that’s capable of simultaneous data streaming to multiple devices, says Netgear.
Powering the routers is a quad-core 1.4GHz processor with 1GB of RAM. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports (1 x WAN + 3 x LAN) on the router and two on each satellite allow for physical connectivity from your ISP or to your devices.
According to the company, the two usual bands (2.4GHz and 5GHz) in the ‘Orbi RBK753’ Wi-Fi 6 mesh system are used for the daily devices of the user, while the third band is used by the satellites for seamless connectivity and to deliver maximum speeds throughout the entire home.
The Orbi system is compatible with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Users can command it with their voice for functions such as turning on guest networks, speaking out guest SSID passwords and more.
Netgear has provided the Orbi RBK753 with antivirus and data theft protection Netgear Armor to protect the user’s network and its connected device family. Users can also set up the entire mesh network and control every feature using the Orbi App. They can run diagnostics, check who has logged into their Wi-Fi, test the internet speeds and more from their smartphone when they are away from home, said the company.
