Will Jio Phone 5G launch today at Reliance AGM 2022?

Like the other Jio smartphones, we believe the Jio 5G Phone will have a bundled 5G data pack when it’s rolled out sometime later this year. Considering the wide anticipation surrounding the 5G launch in India, it only makes sense for Jio to bank on the hype.

Jio Phone 5G specifications (expected)

According to an early report by Android Central, the Jio Phone 5G is expected to sport a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 1,600 x 720 pixels resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. It is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G processor paired with Adreno 619 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 32GB user expandable storage. The phone is likely to boot in-house PragatiOS out of the box. It is a custom skin that Jio built in partnership with Google.

Moving on to the optics, the Jio Phone 5G will reportedly sport a dual camera setup, comprising a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP macro lens, on the rear. Up front, it may sport an 8MP shooter for selfies and video calling.

The Jio Phone 5G is said to be equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and packs a 5,000mAh battery with up to 18W fast charging support. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port.

Jio Phone 5G price in India (expected)

Rumours point the Jio Phone 5G price in India could be between Rs 9,000 and Rs 12,000. There appears to be a down payment option by paying Rs 2,500 while remaining through easy EMIs.
