Windows 11 guide: Things you should while using widgets – Times of India

Windows 11 2H22 update brings several new features and one of them was improvements to widgets. The update brings a new expand button at the top right of the widget plane that allows users to use widgets in full-screen mode.
If you aren’t aware of widgets on Windows and how to get the maximum out of them, here are a couple of tips that can help you use widgets on Windows 11 better.
Use Windows logo key + W to quickly open widgets board
Windows 11 actually has a dedicated widget plane placed at the left side of the taskbar. Click on the widget icon brings up the widgets board. Alternatively, users can also press the Windows logo key and W together to quickly open the widgets board.
Customise widgets
Widgets board allows users to add several widgets on the board. Users can choose from a wide range of widgets available and place them on the board as per their choice. Once the widget has been added, users can click on More options at the upper-right corner and select Customise widget option. Users get the option to customise the city for the weather app, update the watchlist for stock widgets and more. Widget settings also have the option to adjust the size, position and other settings for the widgets.
Interacting with widgets
Interacting with widgets on Windows 11 is a little different from what it is on Android or iOS. Widgets on Windows 11 either open up the app or related website when a user clicks on the widget.
Personalised news and interests
Users can head to Manage interests option and customise their interests, news and more. Use the search box to find topics or publishers you want to follow. Apart from that, the categories available allow access to a particular new when required.
