At, WWDC 2022, Apple is all set and ready to unveil the 2022 edition of the operating systems that power a range of its devices. In addition to this, the tech giant is also rumoured to make some hardware announcements including updated Mac Mini tower and MacBook devices.
Ahead of the official unveiling, 9to5mac has revealed that the 14-inch M2-powered MacBook Air and M2-powered 13-inch MacBook Pro have been listed on the e-commerce site B&H Photos. While it is advisable to take the listings with a pinch of salt, we have to admit that the listings are right in time. Also, Apple is already rumoured to launch these two laptops at the WWDC 2022 event tonight.
As far as new MacBook laptops are concerned, the new MacBook Air is expected to borrow some design cues from the iMac (M1) and it will be available in four colour options — Space Gray, Silver, Gold and a Dark Blue option.
The 13-inch MacBook Pro, on the other hand, is expected to lose the Touch Bar like other recently launched MacBook laptops.
Both the laptops are likely to be powered by the new Apple M2 chipset. The 13-inch model sits below the recently launched 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops.
The new M2 chipset is also expected to bring performance and battery life improvements and also incorporate better display technologies. The chip is expected to feature an octa-core CPU including four performance cores and four efficiency cores, along with these the chip is also said to pack a powerful 10-core GPU compared to the M1 chip.
