Xbox exclusive game ‘Redfall’ likely to launch in May 2023 – Times of India

Microsoft-owned video gaming brand Xbox is gearing up to release its next exclusive game. The company is reportedly set to launch ‘Redfall’ soon. The game is expected to be released in early May this year. Redfall is a first-person shooter game developed by Arkane Studios, which Microsoft acquired in 2021 when it acquired ZeniMax Media.
Redfall: What to expect
According to recent reports by Windows Central, Redfall is most likely to join the game “Starfield” in the tech giant’s extensive lineup of Xbox and PC gaming consoles. The report further added that the developer also emphasises that solo “immersive sim” gameplay, for which the studio is renowned, is still available to players who prefer a more conventional Arkane experience.

Redfall: Gameplay
Redfall is an online first-person shooter video game that offers both cooperative single-player and multiplayer modes. Four playable characters, each with their own backgrounds and skills, are available for players to pick from in order to battle both human and vampire foes in the game.
The video game is set in Redfall, Massachusetts, a fictional island town. In the game, a legion of vampires invaded and cut off the town from the outside world after a failed scientific experiment. Players have to select one of four distinct survivors to play as while trapped in Redfall. They must then kill all of their foes, including vampires and humans.
In March 2021, the European Commission approved Microsoft’s $7.5 billion acquisition of ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks, a privately held game developer and publisher. ZeniMax Media is one of the largest media companies in the world.
Meanwhile, three upcoming games from Bethesda Softworks will only be available on Xbox, according to information provided by the tech giant’s lawyers last month.
