Xiaomi 12 is reportedly receiving stable MIUI 14 update based on Android 13 – Times of India
According to a report by The Update Box, the update comes with firmware version MIUI 14.0.2.0 (TLCMIXM) and the January 2023 Android security patches. It is to be noted that the updates are reportedly available only for the vanilla Xiaomi 12 models and not the Pro ones.
The update further cites that the stable MIUI 14 update is being rolled out for users who have signed in for the Mi Pilot beta testing program. The OTA updates for Xiaomi 12 users are expected to roll out in the upcoming days.
Users can manually check for updates by visiting Settings > About Phone > System updates> Check for updates. You may either wait for the OTA or download MIUI 14.0.2.0 Global Stable ROM for Xiaomi 12 from the link below to update it manually.
Things to keep inmind before installing the update:
- The firmware file is only for Xiaomi 12. Users are suggested not to try this on any other device.
- The update may erase your data, hence it is advisable that users take a complete backup of their phone prior to installing the update.
- Make sure that the phone is at least 50-60% charged.
Xiaomi 12 specifications
The Xiaomi 12 smartphone sports a 6.28-inches OLED display that comes with a 2400×1080 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The display comes with a peak brightness of 1100 nits and has Gorilla Glass Victus for protection. The device is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
Xiaomi 12 comes with a triple-camera setup at the rear comprising a 50MP primary lens that supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) and a 13MP ultra-wide lens and a 5MP macro lens. It also comes with a 32MP front camera sensor for selfies and video calls.
This smartphone also gets an in-display fingerprint for authentication and is also equipped with NFC. It also comes with dual speakers from Harman Kardon. It is backed by a 4,5000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
