Xiaomi 12 Pro post highest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 benchmark scores to date

Xiaomi China has confirmed via its social media accounts that the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro models will be utilising the latest Qualcomm chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and will be delivering “fastest in the industry” performance. Now, the Xiaomi 12 Pro has popped up on Geekbench and has posted a score of 1246 in the single-core and 3903 in the multi-core categories. This makes it the fastest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phone yet. 

This can be compared to the Qualcomm reference device, the Moto X30, which scored 1,234 and 3,837, respectively for the Geekbench single-core and multi-core tests. We can see that the Xiaomi 12 Pro spotted on Geekbench 5 running the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 has edged out ahead of the previous benchmark. That said the Xiaomi 12 Pro lags behind the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 reference device benchmark, in the multi-core test. The Dimensity 9000 goes ahead with a 4000+ score while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 sits right below with a 3900+ score. 

The listing also showed that the Xiaomi 12 Pro was running with 12GB RAM on Android 12. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 scores are yet to roll in, as more and more manufacturers finalise the 2022 flagship models.
