The Xiaomi 12 Pro was initially launched in India at Rs 62,999 for the 8GB+256GB model and Rs 66,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant. However, after revealing the price of the Xiaomi 13 Pro, the company said it is reducing the price of the Xiaomi 12 Pro and now it will be available at Rs 52,999 for the base variant and Rs 56,999 for the top-end variant.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi is also offering a discount of Rs 3,000 for those purchasing the smartphone via HDFC Bank cards or Rs 3,000 additional exchange bonus. Therefore, the effective price of the smartphone is Rs 7,999 and Rs 53,999, respectively. Additionally, the company is offering an exchange bonus of Rs 5,000 for Xiaomi fans.

Xiaomi 12 Pro specifications

The Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a 6.73-inch 2K AMOLED display that has a 120Hz refresh rate, a 480Hz touch sampling rate, 1500nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+. It sports triple cameras on the back, consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX707 main camera with f/1.9 aperture, OIS, LED flash, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide-angle sensor with 115-degree FoV, and a 50MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom. On the front, it has a 32MP selfie shooter.

In terms of chipset, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It has a 4,600mAh battery with 120W fast charging, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging support. It should be noted that the smartphone has an intelligent smart charging chipset.

In the Xiaomi 13 Pro, no doubt, we can see some interesting upgrades such as the chipset, which is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, improved battery, and of course, the Leica-equipped camera setup, among several others. However, at the same time, the newly launched smartphone costs much more than its predecessor, as it starts at Rs 79,999 in India.

Also, it should be noted that the MIUI 14, which is now official, is already available for the Xiaomi 12 Pro. It has features such as connected devices, which allow users to instantly transfer files between various Xiaomi devices, create large folders, on-device text recognition, and rarely used app compression to save system space.

Looking at the price of recently launched flagships, the Xiaomi 12 Pro is a value-for-money device when sold at a discount. Otherwise, Xiaomi 13 Pro can be a better option if the device’s hefty price tag does not bother you.
