Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X, and Xiaomi 12 Pro tipped to launch on December 28th
Xiaomi confirmed it will be among the first to launch a flagship phone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Now, speculations are rife the brand will be holding an event on December 28th, where it will be unveiling the Xiaomi 12-series of phones. Now, according to noted tipster Digital Chat Station, the company will unveil the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X, and Xiaomi 12 Pro handsets on the stage. These models will have shortened model numbers such as L3A, L3, and L2. The Xiaomi 12 Pro’s screen protector has surfaced online revealed. This revealed the phone will be slightly smaller compared to the Xiaomi Mi 11 5G that had a 6.81-inch display.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is said to sport a 6.67-inch display, we can expect it to have a QHD+ display. However, the curved edges seem to be a bit more subtle than the predecessor. The phone has a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, which is rather tiny. It could have an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and will have 5G network connectivity. We can expect the rear-camera module to have a new layout design compared to the Mi 11 series from last/earlier year. Xiaomi is also said to be working on the Xiaomi 12 Ultra and 12 Ultra Enhanced edition, which will be the high-end models in the series.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi 12 is said to sport a curved screen with a punch hole at the centre for the selfie camera, an FHD+ pixels resolution, and a Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is tipped to sport a 50MP primary camera but details regarding other sensors are unknown at the moment. It could get 120W fast charging and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. We should learn more details about the Xiaomi 12 series going forward.
