Xiaomi 12S camera specifications confirmed, will feature a 50MP OIS main camera

Xiaomi 12S camera specifications are out

Xiaomi took to the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo to reveal the camera specifications of the Xiaomi 12S. As seen in the poster above, the Xiaomi 12S will feature a 50MP Sony IMX707 sensor. The main camera of the device will have a 7P lens, f/1.9 aperture, and support for OIS. Furthermore, the Xiaomi 12S will make room for two more cameras, which we assume could be a pair of an ultra-wide-angle camera and a macro/telemacro camera.

Additionally, the promotional poster reveals the Grey colour variant of the device as well. Upon closer inspection, we can notice an antenna line on the frame of the device, thereby confirming that the Xiaomi 12S will feature a metal chassis. The camera module of the Xiaomi 12S will be more or less the same as that found on the Xiaomi 12 series of smartphones. The device appears to have a dual-tone LED flash housed inside the camera island.

The Xiaomi 12S is said to feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED panel. The device will come powered by the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which will likely be paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. In terms of software, the Xiaomi 12S will most likely boot Android 12-based MIUI 13 skin out of the box. In the battery department, the Xiaomi 12S is tipped to sport a 4,500mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging.
