We have been hearing rumours surrounding the launch of the Xiaomi 12T lineup of smartphones for quite some time now. Xiaomi is reportedly in the works to launch its Xiaomi 12T series, consisting of the Xiaomi 12T and the Xiaomi 12T Pro (HyperCharge) soon in the market. Ahead of the launch, the key specifications and features of the vanilla Xiaomi 12T model of the Xiaomi 12T lineup have leaked online. Let’s take a look.
Xiaomi 12T key specifications, launch timeline
According to a new report by Xiaomiui, the upcoming Xiaomi 12T will feature an improved version of the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor, which will be called the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Ultra. The chipset will have definite improvement over the 5nm Dimensity 8100, not much is known in detail. Coupled with the same will be 128GB/256GB of UFS3.1 storage and 8GB LPDDR5 RAM. Furthermore, the Xiaomi 12T is said to feature a 1,220 x 2,712 pixel display with an in-display fingerprint scanner, thereby hinting at an OLED/AMOLED panel.
Coming to the cameras of the device, the Xiaomi 12T is tipped to sport a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor, which will be paired with an 8MP Samsung S5K4H7 ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. At the front, the device is tipped to feature a 20MP selfie snapper (Sony IMX596).
While the leak does not tell us anything about the battery of the device, we can expect the Xiaomi 12T to come with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W/120W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port. As far as the launch is concerned, the Xiaomi 12T is likely to launch sometime in September 2022. It is worth noting that since there has been no official mention of the Xiaomi 12T series so far, it is always a better idea to take such leaks with a slight grain of salt.
