Xiaomi 13 could launch as Xiaomi 14, suggests retail box; key specifications revealed
The alleged retail box packing of the phone suggests the upcoming premium model from the brand will be called Xiaomi 14 and not Xiaomi 13. The images were shared on Weibo and also reveal some key specifications of the vanilla model.
Xiaomi 14 retail box
The box packing clearly shows Xiaomi 14 marketing name and we can also see Leica branding on the package. However, this doesn’t reveal the design of the phone but the packing can be seen in White colour.
Xiaomi 14 specifications (expected)
The alleged leaked image shows the ‘About Phone’ section of the phone, which again clearly shows Xiaomi 14 branding. The device packs 12GB RAM and boots Android 13 OS with MIUI 14 custom skin out of the box. The phone has the model number 2211133C and this matches China’s 3C certification. The chipset has a clock speed of 3.2GHz, which suggests it could be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. That’s pretty much it from the leaked screenshot.
Earlier leaked specifications suggest the Xiaomi 14 would come with a 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The handset is expected to get a 50MP primary camera on the back, which will be aided by an ultra-wide-angle lens and a depth shooter. The chipset will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. While the exact battery capacity details are unknown, the phone might get 67W fast charging support.
The Xiaomi 14 (then believed to be Xiaomi 13) has received the BIS certification, which means the phone will debut in India as well but should happen only next year.
The alleged Xiaomi 14 design shows a redesigned camera module. The phone has a square module on the back to house triple camera sensors and an LED flash. There is also ‘Laser’ text engraved, which suggests the phone might have laser autofocus. We have Xiaomi branding as well on the back panel. The device has slightly curved edges, which should offer better grip while holding and we can see the phone in a grey-glossy colour hue. We should know more information soon.
