Xiaomi 13 series launch timeline, specifications tipped

Xiaomi 13 series is speculated to debut in November and might arrive with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is touted to bring performance and GPU improvements. As with every year, we believe there will be more than one Xiaomi 13 series phone at launch.

Xiaomi 13 series is expected to launch later this year in China and later expand to other markets globally. There are speculations the lineup will debut ahead of the usual launch cycle. Noted leakster DigitalChatStation has revealed some key specifications of the Xiaomi 13 series. 

The tipster claims that Xiaomi 13 series will launch in November 2022 in China. This is one month ahead of the usual cycle in December and days after the Qualcomm Summit. What this means is that Qualcomm may also push its Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset announcement by a month, probably early November. It appears that Xiaomi wants to be the first to launch a flagship with the new Qualcomm flagship chipset in November.

Furthermore, DCS says that Xiaomi will launch the upcoming premium Xiaomi 13 series with a single-cell battery. The Xiaomi 13 will come equipped with the in-house charging IC with support for 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. It is expected that the company will include the Surge P1 chip, which is said to be the only 100W single-cell chip solution in the industry. That’s pretty it about the Xiaomi 13 series at the moment but since we’re months away from the launch, we can expect more details to surface online.
