Xiaomi launches mid-range smartphone Civi in China with Snapdragon 778G
Xiaomi has introduced a new smartphone lineup in China. Dubbed as Civi, the company has launched the first handset under the series called the Xiaomi Civi. It is a mid-range phone that comes powered by a Snapdragon processor and boasts of a 64MP main rear camera and a 120Hz refresh rate screen.
The new Civi smartphone series is said to replace the existing CC series. There is no information whether the new smartphone will also be launched in India or other countries.
Xiaomi Civi: Price
Xiaomi Civi comes with a starting price of CNY 2,599 (approx. Rs 29,600). The base model packs 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Another variant comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It carries a price tag of CNY 2,899 (approx. Rs 33,000).
The phone’s top-end variant comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, and is priced at CNY 3,199 (approx. Rs 36,500). It is offered in three colour options- Black, Pink and Sky Blue.
Xiaomi Civi: Specifications
The smartphone comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen that offers up to 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi Civi is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset and runs on MIUI based on Android 11 operating system.
The device offers a 4,500mAh battery and offers 55watt fast charging support. As mentioned above, the phone packs up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.
On the camera front, Xiaomi Civi has a 32MP selfie camera. The rear camera setup comprises of triple lens. It has a 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor and 2MP sensor. The handset also features dual stereo speakers.
At the event, Xiaomi also unveiled Xiaomi Watch Color 2 which has a 1,43-inch AMOLED screen and boasts of features including SpO2 tracker and 12 hours battery life.
