Xiaomi Mi TV 5X series launched with 4K display, Patchwall 4.0 and 40watt speakers – Times of India

Xiaomi has launched its Mi TV 5X series in India. The series succeeds the Mi TV 4X smart TV series and comes in three screen sizes — 43-inch, 50-inch and 55-inch. The new Mi TVs come integrated with the latest Patchwall 4.0 and boast of 40 watt speakers. The TVs come with Dolby Atmos support with DHS-HD sound.
Price and availability
Xiaomi Mi TV 5X series comes at a starting price of Rs 31,999 for 43-inch screen model. The other variants are priced at Rs 41,999 and Rs 47,999 for 50-inch and 55-inch screen sizes. It will go on sale starting September 7.
The TVs will be available across Mi.com, Flipkart, Mi Home, Mi Studio and Croma. Launch offers include Rs 3,000 instant discount with HDFC Bank credit card and EMIs. buyers can also get upto 9 month no-cost EMI offers from leading Banks and NBFCs.
Mi TV 5X specs
Mi TV 5X series offers 4K display panel with 3840 x 2160p resolution, a 96.6% screen-to-body ratio, and a “Billion Colour View”, covering 94% of the DCI-P3 standard. It is equipped with an enhanced Vivid Picture Engine 2 (Proprietary display technology) with adaptive brightness. The TVs offer support for all codecs including Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR 10+, Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG).
The Mi TV 5X series comes with the latest version of Patchwall – Patchwall 4. It comes with updates like improved UI, IMDb rating integration, an all-new details page for each title and access to over 30 streaming services in 15 different languages. The PatchWall also brings the Mi Home app on Mi TVs to control all AIoT devices.

The TV runs on Android 10 and comes with built-in Chromecast and Google Assistant support. It also features the Mi QuickMute feature that allows users to mute the TV by simply double tapping the volume down key.
For sound output, the smart TV boasts of 40watt speakers and built-in far field mics. It packs 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. Connectivity ports available on the TV are eARC, three HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB ports, a LAN port, one optical port, 3.5 mm jack and an Ethernet port. For wireless connections, the TV comes with support for both 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity.
