Xiaomi Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition with 100W audio system and 48MP camera sensor launched in China – Times of India

Chinese consumer technology giant Xiaomi has launched its most powerful TV yet in its home country China, called the Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition.

The Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition has been launched in three screen sizes. The smallest variant has been launched at CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs 68,900) that sports a 55-inch screen. Besides this, there are two more models — 65-inch and 75-inch — which are priced at CNY 7,999 (roughly Rs 91,900) and CNY 9,999 (roughly Rs 1,14,800) respectively.

The latest smart TV from Xiaomi is said to boast a thin and light design. The device comes with a 4K QLED screen. This screen offers support for 1,200 nits brightness, 97 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, and 10.7 billion colours. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and is said to come with a 3D LUT film industrial-grade colour correction technology.
Other key highlight specs of the Mi TV 6 Extreme are a 100W audio system and a dual AI camera with a 48MP main sensor that is said to offer aid in video calling.
There is no word on the international availability of this TV from Xiaomi.
In India, the company recently launched a new TV accessory called the Mi TV Webcam and prior to that launched an affordable TV — called Mi TV 4A 40 Horizon Edition.

The Mi TV 4A 40 Horizon Edition has been launched at Rs 23,999 in India. It offers a 40-inch FHD display of 1920 x 1080p resolution and features a 93.7% screen to body ratio, 178-degree viewing angle and 60Hz refresh rate.
Powered by Amlogic Cortex A53 quad-core processor Mali-450 GPU, the Mi TV 4A 40 Horizon Edition packs a 1GB DDR RAM and 8GB eMMC ROM.
Running on PatchWall UI, the Mi TV 4A 40 Horizon Edition comes pre-loaded with popular OTT apps. It also offers built-in Chromecast and Google Assistant.
