Xiaomi has always been known for launching value-for-money smartphones since its inception. The company introduces a bunch of devices every year under its banner as well as subsidiary brands Redmi and POCO. Xiaomi has already set the ball rolling with its Redmi Note 12 series launch in India in early 2023. It now seems to be readying to take the wraps off the upcoming Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO smartphones, including the flagship Xiaomi 13 series.  In this article, we’ll be taking a quick look at all the new Xiaomi phones that are confirmed/ expected to launch in 2023 in India and globally. After releasing the Redmi Note 12 5G in January, the company is expected to launch a 4G variant of the phone called Redmi Note 12 4G. While the specifications of the device are rife at this point in time, the device has been recently spotted on the IMEI database which reveals the Redmi Note 12 4G could come in two storage variants of 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM and 8GB RAM with 128GB ROM. The phone may run on Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box. As for the rest of the specifications, we’ll update this article when new details are available pertaining to the smartphone.

Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro

The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro are the brand’s flagship devices for the first half of 2023. After the China launch back in December 2022, these smartphones could soon be headed for the global market including India in the next couple of weeks. Coming to the specifications, both these handsets are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB internal memory. With the performance aspect being the only similarity between the two, the Xiaomi 13 gains a 6.36-inch OLED display while the Xiaomi 13 Pro gains a 6.73-inch curved 2K OLED display. The rest of the display features include a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and 1900 nits peak brightness.

The Xiaomi 13 touts a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony IMX800 primary sensor, a 10MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor along with a 32MP selfie snapper. As for the Xiaomi 13 Pro, it features a 50MP sensor across all three rear lenses. The cameras are further tuned in collaboration with Leica to enrich the output of the images and videos. Providing juice to the devices is a 4,500mAh and a 4,820mAh battery on Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro respectively with up to 120W fast charging on the Pro variant.

Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro

Just like Xiaomi 13, the Xiaomi 12T series could also make its India debut in the upcoming months. The Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro are currently available in China and several European markets. As far as specifications are concerned, these include a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro lens, a 20MP selfie camera, and a 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. Besides these, both phones are different from each other in terms of chipset and primary camera where the vanilla Xiaomi 12T comes with MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Ultra and a 108MP camera while the 12T Pro gains Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with an OIS-enabled 200MP main shooter. Both handsets run on MIUI 13 built on top of Android 12.

The Xiaomi 13 Lite is said to be a mid-range handset that could come to global markets as a rebranded Xiaomi Civi 2, which is currently sold only in China. Xiaomi 13 Lite has been recently spotted on the Google Play Console database hinting toward an imminent launch. If the handset is indeed a rebadged Civi 2, it could carry a 6.55-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, a 4500mAh battery with 67W fast charging, and up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The triple rear camera module includes 50MP primary, 50MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro cameras along with 32MP + 32MP dual camera selfie shooters.

Redmi K60 series

Another lineup that officially debuted in China late last year is the Redmi K60 series. It consists of the Redmi K60 Pro, Redmi K60, and Redmi K60E. One can expect either of these handsets to launch as a Poco F series device in India or global markets. Key specifications include 6.67-inch OLED panels, 16MP selfie shooters 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensors, up to 5500mAh batteries and 120W fast charging across the lineup. Running under the hood is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and Dimensity 8200 chipsets on the Redmi K60 Pro, Redmi K60, and Redmi K60E respectively.

Redmi Note 12 Turbo

Xiaomi could soon add a new smartphone to the Redmi Note 12 lineup called Redmi Note 12 Turbo. This particular handset may run on the yet-to-be-announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC according to a leak from the tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo. The leak further revealed that the device may sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and will have up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage configurations. Coming to the optics, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo may feature a 50MP + 8MP + 2MP triple rear camera setup. Lastly, a 5000mAh battery along with 67W fast charging could run the show.
