Xiaomi made several announcements at its launch event on December 28. The company announced a host of new hardware along with its latest Android 12 based MIUI 13 update for smartphones and other devices.
A day after the conference, the company has dropped the first list of the MIUI 13 update roadmap, confirming devices that will receive the update. According to the company’s official community post, the MIUI 13 will start rolling out in Q1, 2022.

MIUI 13 features
MIUI 13, according to the company, focuses on enhancing device security. The company has introduced a three-step verification process for enhanced security. This includes three layers, the first layer is facial recognition, the second stage is watermark reading of user’s ID and electronic fraud protection.
In addition to that, the MIUI 13 update brings performance improvements, UI changes and more. The updated user interface also includes a new font, colours and new wallpapers.
The company has also redesigned several widgets to align better in a grid.
The company has also announced MIUI 13 Pad, designed specifically for tablet or large screen devices to offer better multitasking and user experience.
