Xiaomi teases ‘Hyperphone’ after Xiaomi 11i, Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge India launch

Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge smartphones in India. At the end of the launch event, the company teased the launch of another smartphone which will also likely support 120W fast charging. The pre-recorded live stream of the event ended showing a teaser posted that read “The Hyperphone Coming Soon”. In his closing speech, Managing Director of Xiaomi India Manu Jain also hinted at another device.

The Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge smartphones are rebranded Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ models that were already launched in China last year. Apart from these devices, the company only has a few more smartphones that support 120W fast charging including – Mi 10 Ultra, Xiaomi MIX 4, Xiaomi 11T Pro, and Xiaomi 12 Pro. The smartphone manufacturer has already confirmed that the Mi 10 Ultra and Xiaomi MIX 4 are only limited to China. So it is expected that the company is either gearing up to launch the Xiaomi 11T Pro or the Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphone in India.

Although the company has not revealed any details about the global availability of the Xiaomi 12 Pro, the Xiaomi 11T Pro was spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification website. The phone was listed on the certification website with the model number 2107113I, 2107113R, and 2107113G. The handset is equipped with a 6.67-inch flat 10bit AMOLED true-colour display. The screen offers a refresh rate of 120Hz. Xiaomi 11T Pro comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and packs up to 256GB of onboard storage.

The device is backed by a 5000mAh battery. It comes with support for 120watt Xiaomi HyperCharge fast charging. In the camera department, the phone has a 16MP sensor for selfies. Rear camera setup consists of a 108MP main camera paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a tele macro shooter.
