NEW DELHI: Xiaomi launched the 11 Lite NE 5G smartphone in India in September this year. The smartphone came with MIUI 12 out-of-the-box. The company has now started rolling out MIUI 12.5 update for the smartphone in the country. Users of Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE are sharing screenshots of the update on Twitter.
The update comes with firmware version V12.5.4.0.RKOINXM and it brings the enhanced version of MIUI to the 11 Lite NE 5G smartphone. The update weighs 479MB in size and claims to introduce swift performance to the smartphone.
Xiaomi unveiled the MIUI 12.5 Global at an event earlier this year. The MIUI 12.5 update was followed by MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update in India. The company started rolling out the update for its devices during the third quarter of the year 2021. For those unaware, the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced comes with features like Atomised Memory, Focused Algorithm, Smart Balance, Liquid Storage. Along with these features, the update also allows users to uninstall most of the system apps.
It is an OTA update and will reach all users soon. The company advises users to download the update when connected to WiFi and also keep the smartphone charged.
Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G specifications
The smartphone comes with a 6.55-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The display offers a 90Hz refresh rate and is protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor and runs Android 11 operating system.
Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G comes in two variants — 6GB + 64GB and 8GB+ 128GB. The mid-range smartphone sports a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP main camera with f/1.79 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 5MP telemacro camera with f/2.4 aperture. The front is home to a 20MP selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE comes with an IR blaster and houses a 4250mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The company claims that the smartphone can charge from 0 to 50% in just 20 minutes.
