You can now purchase JioPhone Next at less than Rs 5000: Details inside – Times of India

Reliance Jio and Google launched their first Android smartphone — JioPhone Next last year. The telecom operator launched the JioPhone Next at Rs 6,499. This entry-level smartphone has now become more affordable. The JioPhone Next has received a price drop of Rs 1,900 making it more affordable.
Reliance JioPhone: Price cut
Reliance Jio launched the JioPhone Next at Rs 6,499 last year. The smartphone is now selling at Rs 4,599 after the price drop of Rs 1,900. Interested customers can purchase the entry-level smartphone from the Amazon India website. The e-commerce major is also giving a 10% instant discount on SBI credit and debit cards on the purchase of JioPhone Next. Customers can also go to the EMI option starting at Rs 241.
Jio Phone Next: Specifications
Pragati OS powers the Jio Phone Next, an optimised version of Android made for the JioPhone Next. Google and Jio have worked closely to create this OS. The JioPhone Next is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 processor. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch display. It has a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera for selfies. There is a dedicated SD card along with a 3.5mm audio jack.
Meanwhile, Jio Platforms and DigiBoxx, Indian file storage and sharing platform have entered into a partnership. The partnership is aimed at JioFiber users. With this, all Jio set-top box users can avail one-click upgrade for extra storage on DigiBoxx via JioPay.
With this collaboration, the storage offered to Jio’s set-top box owners increases to 30GB. In addition to the currently offered storage space of 20GB, users can avail of an extra 10GB of space on DigiBoxx. To do the same they require to sign up via the JioPhotos app.
Registered users can create secure folders, upload, and instantly share photos and videos from a smartphone, and save files of various formats in one place. Jio customers can store their personal data by enabling auto-sync and seamlessly viewing everything on the Jio Set-top Box.
