Your Amazon Echo just got a huge Euro 2020 update: here’s everything you can now ask Alexa

Euro 2020 kicked off last Friday, and if you’ve been glued to your telly for every game, Amazon Echo smart speakers is now the perfect companion. Amazon has started to roll out a new Alexa update in time for the international tournament that’ll help footie fans follow Euro 2020.

The latest Alexa update ensures you’ll never miss a game as you will now be able to ask the Amazon-developed voice assistant who is playing each day to get the latest Euro 2020 fixture information.

Alexa will also be able to help you set reminders and get a five minute alert before a game kicks off. Owners of Echo speakers and other Alexa-powered devices can simply ask “Alexa, what’s the latest European Championship update?” to hear the latest news from the tournament.

Or, if you want a quick score update, you can ask “Alexa, what’s the England Scotland score?” during the big game this Friday.

You can also ask Alexa who she thinks will be crowned the Euro 2020 champion at Wembley next month. And if you want to while away the time until the next game you can have a bit of fun, asking Alexa to tell you a joke or take part in a quiz.

The veteran broadcaster has lent his voice to Alexa as part of a partnership with Toshiba, but his responses can be heard across all Alexa devices.
